Japanese Quail are hardy birds that thrive in small environments. Japanese quail mature in around 6 weeks, and can start laying by day 50. With correct care they can lay 200 eggs in their first year. Life expectancy is around 2- 2.5 years.
Each hen appears to lay eggs in a characteristic shell pattern or colour.
All our quail are kept in free flying, ethical pens.
